Former Vice President and a PDP presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar has pleaded with Kano delegates to give him the necessary backing ahead of the party’s Primary.

He made the plea while addressing party supporters at the office of the chairman of the party in Kano, Sen Mas’ud El-Jibril Doguwa.

He said if he eventually emerged as the party’s candidate and was able to achieve his presidential ambition, he would do everything possible to improve the living standards of Nigerians, especially the poor.

Atiku said he would tackle unemployment, especially among the teeming youths in the country, in addition to introducing empowerment programmes for women.

He also called on the people of Kano to support the PDP in its bid to address the ‘various socio-economic challenges’ facing the country.
