Adamawa Supplementary Poll: INEC To Announce New Date Today

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that it will announce a new date for supplementary election in Adamawa State before end of work on Tuesday (Today).

This follows the vacation of an order preventing the governorship supplementary election in the state by the court on Tuesday.

Reacting to the ruling of the court, INEC posted on its Facebook page that it will now proceed with the supplementary election on a date to be announced later in the day.

“Following the discharge of the injunction stopping the supplementary governorship election by the Adamawa State High Court in the case instituted by the Movement for Restoration and Defence of Democracy (MRDD) against INEC the Commission will now proceed with the supplementary election on a date to be made known before the end of work today”.
