Super Eagles star Emmanuel Dennis scored a brace as Belgian team Club Brugge secured a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

The latest Super Eagles invitee struck twice at the Santiago Bernabeu to give Club Brugge a 2-0 lead going into the first half of the clash.

However, Real Madrid rallied round in the second half of the encounter to force the Belgian team to a draw.

With the goals, he becomes the third Nigerian ever to score against Los Blancos in the Champions League.

Dennis opened the scoring for his side after just 9 minutes before finishing his brace half an hour later.

His first goal needed VAR to overturn an incorrect offside decision against the Belgian side after the forward mishandled Percy Tau’s cross past Thibaut Courtois.

The Nigerian did benefit from Luka Modric’s mistake to net home his second goal of the day at the packed Santiago Bernabeu in Spain.

Meanwhile, France and Barcelona legend, Lilian Thuram believes Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) stand a better chance of winning the UEFA Champions League than ever.

Concise News reports that the 1998 World Cup winner also says Neymar Jr. will help Thomas Tuchel’s side achieve European glory.

PSG have failed to make it beyond the last 16 in each of the previous three editions of the competition, suffering humiliating exits at the hands of Barcelona and Manchester United when holding a strong advantage after the first leg.

But Thuram, 47 believes after the French side’s impressive win over Real Madrid in their opening match of the competition this year, they should not be taken for granted.

“I’ve got the impression that this year, they are better armed than ever to win the Champions League,” he told RMC.

“But you know that it’s always very, very complicated.

“I have the feeling that there’s greater solidity in the squad. And you win with solidity.”
