Gov Ugwuanyi Summons Emergency Meeting Over Catholic Priest's Murder

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has condemned the killing of Rev. Paul Offu of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu by unknown gunmen along Ihe-Agbudu Road in Awgu Local Government Area of the state.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate at the last election said the killing of Fr. Offu is another reminder that no one is safe in the country again.

He condoled the family of Fr. Offu and the Catholic Church in Nigeria, and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.

Atiku tweeted on Saturday, “The killing of Rev. Fr. Paul Offu in Enugu State is yet another reminder that no one is immune from this ravaging epidemic. My deepest condolences to the Offu family and the Catholic Church in Nigeria. May his soul Rest In Peace.”

Concise News reported that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, on Friday ordered massive manhunt for the killers of Rev. Father Paul Offu.
