The presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) Kingsley Moghalu has berated Nigerians for paying more attention to the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show, Concise News reports.

Concise News understands that the BBNaija runs for three months but Moghalu has said Nigerians should instead pay equal attention to fixing the country.

He tweeted the number of vote cast in the 2019 election and compared it with that of the 2019 edition of the BBNaija show.

According to him, the energy used in watching the show should be extended to voting during elections.

“Total votes cast on Big Brother Nigeria 2018 = 170m. Total votes cast General election 2019 = 27 m,” he wrote.

“We need to get serious about rescuing our country from the doldrums, not just wishing away our reality in reality TV shows. We can view BBNaija
AND vote right in elections!”
