Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode on Monday berated the heinous attack on the funeral procession in Badu village, Borno State, which led to the death of over 60 mourners.
Concise News understands that the insurgents, who were pushed back by villagers and vigilance group members two weeks earlier, returned on a reprisal mission on Saturday to carry out the act.
Fani-Kayode mocked the President Muhammadu Buhari administration over the claim that Boko Haram had been ‘defeated’.
He said on social media that “Boko Haram kills 65 mourners at a funeral in Borno! Is this “technically defeated” Boko Haram?
“It beggars belief that Buhari can sleep well. He has no empathy for the victims and no sense of urgency about the security free-fall that he has thrown us into. I am at a loss for words.”
