Some suspected Fulani herdsmen have killed Funke Olakunrin, a 58-year-old daughter of Afenifere leader Ruben Fasoranti. Funke Olakunrin was said to have died due to injuries from gunshot wounds. According to an eyewitness, Olakunrin was shot by Fulani herdsmen at Ore junction in Ondo State earlier on Friday.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has lauded Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State on his development strides in riverine communities. The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the non teaching staff in the Universities called for a nationwide protest starting on Monday 15th July, 2019. Algeria defender Ramy Bensebaini has said that the Super Eagles of Nigeria are difficult to beat at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). According to him, Gernot Rohr’s men are in form and have several good players, admitting that Algeria’s task to overcome the three-time African champions is daunting.
