The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed speculations of plans to prolong the tenure of its current party executives beyond 23rd July 2019. Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to put adequate security measure in place to averts electoral violence during the November governorship poll. PDP in a statement on Tuesday, signed by the state publicity secretary, Bode Ogunmola, called on INEC to take “major” steps in preventing what the commission “disclosed is the high level of political violence raging in the state” by assuring a free, fair and credible governorship election in November.
