Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state has declared Thursday July 11 a toll free day during the morning and evening peak hours for vehicles plying the Lekki and Admiralty toll plaza in Lekki and Ikoyi.

Concise News learned that the governor announced on Wednesday that the toll plaza would be open from 6.30am to 9.30am and 4.30pm to 8.00pm.

Sanwo-Olu made this known while addressing journalists after a tour of the Victoria Island-Lekki-Ajah axis.

The governor, who took over from Akinwunmi Ambode on 29 May, said it was a measure aimed at tackling gridlock in the area.
