The Nigerian team came out victorious 3-2 in a thrilling encounter that saw them move further to the quarter-final.
Concise News reports that Odion Ighalo gave Nigeria the lead in the 19th minute, off an assist from Kenneth Omeruo. Then, a quick turnaround happened. Stéphane Bahoken equalised for Clarence Seedorf’s boys 22 minutes after. And Marseille man, Clinton Njié made sure his side go into the half time break as leaders.
But in another turnaround in the second half, Nigeria equalized through Odion Ighalo again on the 63rd minute.
Then, three minutes later, Ighalo turned the provider this time, setting up Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi for Nigeria’s third of the match. That goal eventually proved to be the winner.
Reacting, Atiku congratulated the Super Eagles for the victory, describing it as a delightful quality and resilient football.

Nigeria will play the winner between host Egypt and South Africa who play later this night in the quarter-final.
