Kogi Elections: INEC Gives Update On Distribution Of Uncollected PVCs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it would resume the distribution of uncollected Permanent Voter Cards in Kogi and Bayelsa, ahead of the States’ November 16 governorship elections.

News reports that INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, made this known in an interview with NAN on Tuesday in Abuja. Read more here.

Kogi Election: Audu Family Finally Anoints Candidate Ahead Primaries

Barely one month to the governorship primaries ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State, the family of His Royal Highness, the late Alhaji Audu Oyidi, the Orego Attah of Ogbonicha, has resolved to support the aspiration of Muhammed Abubakar Audu to govern the state.

Concise News reports that the family’s decision was informed by the conflicting gubernatorial ambition among three sons of late Prince Abubakar Audu, namely, Yahaya Audu, Muhammed Audu and Mona Mustapha Audu. While Mona kicked off his political campaign under Young Peoples Party (YPP), he later joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) and continued his quest to be governor on the platform.

On his part, Yahaya Audu, who first ran for the Kogi East senatorial seat decided to keep his political dreams alive by entering the race to become the number one citizen of the state. Read more here.
