2019 Election: CAN To Deploy 1,000 Observers

Former vice-president Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Rev. Samson Ayokunle on his re-election as President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

The presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2019 election prayed for God’s wisdom and divine direction for Ayokunle in the running of the affairs of CAN.

Reacting, Atiku on Twitter wrote, ”Congratulations, Rev. (Dr.) Samson Ayokunle on your re-election as President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

“I pray for God’s wisdom & divine direction to you in the running of the affairs of CAN and the interface of the association with the rest of the Nigerian society.”

Concise News learned that Ayokunle got 59 votes to defeat the runner up, Rev. Caleb Solomon-Ahima, President, Fellowship of Christian Churches in Nigeria, who got 44 votes.

According to the CAN constitution, Solomon-Ahima becomes the vice-president of the organisation.
