Football governing body FIFA has said it will cooperate in the investigation of a former UEFA President Michel Platini.
Concise News understands that Platini was arrested in France on Tuesday over allegations of corruption in the award of the 2022 World Cup hosting rights to Qatar.
While reacting to the development, FIFA noted that it does not have the full details of the investigation going on in France.
It, however, expressed commitment to ensuring that the investigators get its full support.
FIFA says it “reiterates its full commitment to cooperating with the authorities in any given country of the world where investigations are taking place in connection with football activities.”
