US Embassy Reacts To Rumoured Student Visa Ban

The United States Mission in Nigeria has described as fake news, the rumour that it’s no longer issuing student visa to Nigerians.

Debunking the report on its Twitter handle on Monday, the US Embassy urged Nigerians who have received such item on any social media platform to communicate that it is fraud.

On its verified Twitter handle, @USEmbassyAbuja, the mission wrote, “#FakeNews Alert! Be advised, reports of Student Visa ban for Nigerians is false. If you have seen such manufactured item on Facebook and Twitter or received it via WhatsApp, please communicate that it is false.”
