Diverse reactions have trailed the statement by Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, that internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys) help Nigeria’s economy.

Concise News understands that Naira Marley said this on recently in an Instagram Live video.

According to him, the political class have looted the country and thus the economy would have collapsed if not for “Yahoo Boys” who make money “go round” in Nigeria.

“All you guys, all the money in your pockets, all the money you spend, you think it’s the government that is making the money go round?” he asked.

“You better sit down and pray for yahoo boys. If them stop yahoo, the money would not pass you guys

“The money will go like this, from Obasanjo to Tinubu, from Tinubu to Mr Japa, you think me I need Yahoo?

“I make money from my music.”

However, the statement from Naira Marley about “Yahoo” and how it helps the Nigerian economy, has drawn wild criticisms as well as commendation.

These Nigerians took to Twitter to register their reservations and opinions about the issue, saying it affects the country’s image and that “Yahoo” is not a thing to be supported.

There were still others who believed that  “nobody holy pass” and that those involved in “Yahoo” should not be described as criminals.
