Members of Nigeria’s U-23 national team have received N4million reward from Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa for beating Libya 4-0 on Monday to progress to the final stage of qualifying for the CAF U-23 AFCON in Egypt.

Victor Osimhen netted a hat-trick while David Okereke got Nigeria’s fourth goal as the country’s Olympic Eagles recovered from a 2-0 loss in the first leg to defeat the Libyans 4-2 on aggregate.

Concise News understands that Musa, as a way of motivating the players after their 2-0 loss in the first leg, promised to reward the players with N1million for each goal scored in the return leg.

He fulfilled his promise shortly after the game, according to the media manager of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye.
