Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has berated President Muhammadu Buhari for saying that he came into office as the country’s leader in 2005 instead of May 29, 2015.

Concise News reports that President Buhari made the gaffe during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally in Ekiti, on Tuesday, while he was trying to campaign for his re-election ahead of the forthcoming elections.

In a video which has gone viral on social media, Buhari while addressing the people said, “Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, there is hardly anything new that I can tell you.

“I am very pleased the Vice President (Yemi Osinbajo) is here and the Chairman of the National Economic Commission has told you in detail what we are doing, especially that affects your state.

“We are very conscious of the promises we made when we were coming in 2005” instead of 2015.”

Moments after the video of the President’s gaffe went viral, Fani-Kayode took to Twitter to say that the senility and diseased mind that plagues Buhari is getting worse by the day and he should go and rest.

Fani-Kayode wrote: “Buhari has done it again! Today as he addressed the crowd at his Ekiti rally he told them that he was elected into office “in 2005. The senility and diseased mind that plagues this creature is getting worse by the day. Is this what some say should lead Nigeria for another 4 yrs?”
