Information reaching Concise News has it that the appeal court has dismissed the appeal by Senate President Bukola Saraki challenging his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

The Justice Abdul Aboki-led panel dismissed the appeal and also held that the appellant’s submission was laced with sentiments.

Second blow for Bukola Saraki

This is the second time the appeal court would be delivering judgment on the same matter of jurisdiction of the CCT to try the Senate President. You will recall that the appeal court has in February 2016 also dismissed Saraki’s bid to halt CCT trial.

Saraki is standing trial before the CCT for a 16-count charge on alleged false declaration of assets.
