10-year-old Ends Life After Video Of Fight With Bully Goes Viral

A 10-year-old girl from Colorado has killed herself after a video of her fighting with her supposed bully went viral.

The parent of the girl, identified as Ashawnty Davis, claimed their deceased child was a victim of bullying which led to the bullycide.

In the video, the girl in pink -Ashawnty- was seen fighting with another girl while a group of children watched. Her mother Latoshia Harris claimed her daughter had confronted the girl who had allegedly been bullying her.

They revealed that as soon as the video was uploaded by a fellow student of Sunrise Elementary School in Aurora, Colorado, their 10-year-old child was devastated as she was subjected to more harassment and she took her life.

“I saw my daughter was scared,” Harris told news station, KDVR.

“She was devastated when she found out that it had made it to Musical.ly.” she added.

The bereaved parents said that the bullying that occurred after the video led to their daughter’s death.

“My daughter came home two weeks later and hanged herself in the closet,” Harris said.

Ashawnty died on Wednesday morning at the Children’s Hospital Colorado where she was placed on life support for two weeks, and now her parents are hoping to become a voice in the fight against bullycide.

“We have to stop it and we have to stop it within our kids,” Davis said.

“I want other parents to know that it’s happening,” Harris added. “That was my baby and I love my baby and I just want mothers to listen.”
